FAQS
-
How does the dual‑focus system work?A mechanical switch lets you alternate between the 35 mm and 60 mm objective lenses. Each setting has its own base magnification and field of view, allowing you to tailor the scope to your needs without changing optics.
-
What are the detection ranges for each lens? The 35 mm lens provides a detection range of about 1,800 m, while the 60 mm lens extends detection to around 3,000 m.
-
Does switching lenses affect zero? No. The Clarion maintains its zero when you switch between the two lenses.
-
How long is the battery life? The removable NE‑4400 battery offers approximately 8.5 hours of operation.
-
Is there a laser rangefinder? No. The Clarion uses a stadiametric rangefinder for estimating distance. For a built‑in LRF, see the RattlerV3 LRF series.

Detailed Product Description:
The AGM Clarion 640 Dual Focus gives a thermal riflescope two optical starting views. At the 35 mm setting, you get 2× base magnification and a 12.5° × 10° field of view. Change to 60 mm for 3× magnification and a narrower 7.3° × 5.9° view. The practical advantage is being able to choose more scanning room or a closer starting image without changing scopes.
A 640×512, 12 µm sensor with sub-20 mK sensitivity operates at 50 Hz, with a 1024×768 OLED display. Switching the optical configuration differs from digital zoom, which enlarges detail already captured by the sensor. The scope recognizes the lens change and recalls the preset zero profile for that setting. Set up and verify both profiles for your rifle.
The removable NE-4400 battery is rated up to 8.5 hours, and two batteries are included. Video and photo storage totals 16 GB, while the housing carries an IP67 rating. Choose this model if both starting views are useful in your terrain; a longer detection rating alone does not establish positive animal identification.
