Detailed Product Description:
The AGM TaipanV2 15-256 is a handheld thermal monocular for property checks, livestock monitoring and finding heat signatures after dark. Its 256×192, 12 µm sensor pairs with a 15 mm f/1.0 objective and a 1280×960 LCOS display. The 2× base magnification gives you a closer starting view than a lower-magnification scanner, while the 11.7° × 8.8° field of view defines how much ground you see at once. Digital enlargement does not add captured detail, and finding heat is different from positively identifying an animal.
A removable rechargeable 18650 battery makes spare-cell changes practical. AGM rates runtime at up to seven hours, and the 90° tilt sensor turns off the display when lowered to conserve power. Wi-Fi connects to AGM Connect, while 16 GB storage keeps recordings on the device.
At a listed 0.61 lb, it is easy to carry through a property check. IP67 protection and two included batteries round out a useful entry-level scanner. Choose more sensor resolution if fine image detail is the priority.
